I feel in my heart on this day your warm hand on my shoulder, how I miss that. 18 years is a long time, but yet it still feels like yesterday we were laughing and goofing with each other. I miss our fathers day together bud. For me this day has become a somber one, it comes every year like other holidays but this one has that special meaning for me, father and son together. The one thing that gets me by is being able to hang out with Grandad. He is still going strong as you know, he just celebrated his 87th born on date... We all miss you Jerm, but no one more than me! I know you watch over us because I feel you in my heart and soul daily, you never leave me. Christmas for me without you physically here has just become more of an exercise then anything. Good morning Jerm. I wanted to reach out this morning on this Fathers day weekend to say hello. As you know this is the 17th Fathers day I haven't been able to touch you, or hug you on this very special weekend. I find myself every year checking the mail box for that special card, the one that comes from you. What I have found over the years is that the gift is not a card at all. The gift for Fathers day for me is the memories we all share as a family. They are priceless, I wouldn't give them up for anything. It allows me to reflect on all the good times, and tough times we all have gone through together. I miss you Son in more ways then anyone can imagine. I miss our times together.
